Tutor Training Program & Tutor Directory
Launched in 2024, the U of T Tutor Training Program (UT3) was designed for current undergraduate students on the St. George campus to become effective tutors.
The training program was developed in compliance with a set of accredited tutor training standards established by the College Reading and Learning Association, which informed the newly established Canadian Tutor Standards.
Since 2023, more than180 students completed the skills assessment module of the program, 39 students completed all training modules, and more than 300 students actively engaged in the training.
The next phase of the project, the tutor directory, will launch in 2024 to help facilitate connections between trained tutors and students seeking tutoring support.
