Experiential Learning and Community-Engaged Learning Staff Modules
In partnership with OVPIUE and the with the support of Student Success, the Centre for Community Partnerships developed and launched three asynchronous EL/CEL training modules for staff across the tri-campus, hosted by the Learning and Leadership Centre (LLC) on the Learning, Leadership & Culture LMS.
The three asynchronous training modules stand alone, with the option for participants who complete all three to earn the Supporting Community-Engaged Learning Certificate. The series was launched during the annual Forum on Experiential Learning in October 2024.
The modules are titled:
- Experiential Learning (EL) at the University of Toronto: An Overview for Staff and Librarians
- Introduction to Community-engaged Learning (CEL)
- Building Community Partnerships for Community-engaged Learning (CEL)
The Certificate is titled Supporting Community-engaged Learning (Modules 1, 2 & 3) Certificate.

Objective: 5.4
Invest in staff professional development and well-being, with particular commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility, and Indigenous partnerships, relationships, and knowledges.
