International Student Services Sessions
In response to the growing needs of international students at U of T, the International Student Services team undertook an initiative aimed at improving access to essential resources. Feedback indicated that many students were looking for live interaction and were often unable to book a personal appointment within the same week, due to how quickly those get taken by students once released.
By offering Q&A and additional thematic sessions, the team aimed to improve international students’ access to various services and enhance students’ awareness, engagement and overall international student experience.
From May 1, 2023, to April 2024, 2,233 students attended 40 University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) presentations. The International Students Immigration Advising (ISIA) team facilitated 136 sessions, with 2,248 international students in attendance.
Moving forward, the team remains dedicated to enhancing the international student experience through ongoing feedback and innovative programming.
