Empowerment Through Space – BSpace a Lounge for Black Identified Students

This is a flagship project aimed at fostering belonging and empowerment for Black-identified students.

Throughout the 24-25 year, the coordinator of Black student engagement executed key programs within this space. This included the development and facilitation of the “Black Hang Out/Drop-In” series—informal gatherings that provided Black students with space to connect, build community and feel seen. These sessions were well attended and served as the foundation for the decision to launch BSpace as a permanent fixture on the St. George Campus for the 2024–25 academic year.
