Breaking down barriers through the Anti-Black Racism Project
Student Life strove to break down barriers for those affected by systemic exclusion and discrimination through programs such as the Anti-Black Racism Project, which sought to create a more inclusive environment for Black-identified students within Accessibility Services.

Participated in meaningful career conversations amongst the attendees at the Black Students & Alumni Career Networking Night.
Strengthening student belonging with inclusive networking and support spaces
Career Networking Nights for Black students, 2SLGBTQ+ students and alumni, and BSpace, a lounge for Black-identified students, fostered belonging by creating opportunities for connection through tailored programming.
Supporting growth with peer-to-peer engagement and inclusive practice
The First Nations House Indigenous Academic Peer Mentorship Group Program facilitated peer-to-peer engagement opportunities that fostered learning, connection and growth, while Occupational Therapy student placements encouraged students to think strategically about inclusive language and group-session frameworks.
Engaging the community with music during Black History Month
Black History Month at CIE was held in collaboration with the African International Support Group and served as an opportunity to foster belonging by engaging the community through music.
