Experiential Learning Commons

The Experiential Learning Commons (ELC) is a new University of Toronto space located at 255 Beverley Street and is shared by Student Life, Career Exploration & Education; the Faculty of Arts & Science, Experiential Learning Outreach & Support; and the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering, Engineering Career Centre.

The Experiential Learning Commons is dedicated to enriching students’ access to experiential learning opportunities and to support employer wayfinding for engagement in career exploration and recruitment opportunities with students. It will be a hub of activity for collaboration and dialogue between industry partners, students, recent graduates and alumni from all three U of T campuses. Partners celebrated the ELC grand opening on October 11, 2023.

In year one, Student Life, Career Exploration & Education has leveraged this unique space and community to collaborate with the other U of T departments and programs to deliver experiential learning activities, employer recruitment events, strengthen wayfinding supports and education for employers, and to share best practices for driving employer engagement and cultivating new industry partnerships that support student networking, mentorship and job search.
